Greeting Crossroads Arlington Church,
Governor Abbott’s announcement on Tuesday will bring profound changes to how the state of Texas is asking Texans to combat the spread of COVID-19. In light of the announcement and Judge Whitley’s immediate removal of the masking mandate in Tarrant County, we are adjusting our protocols for Sunday mornings and office hours at the church.
Beginning this Sunday, March 7th, masking will no longer be mandated for Sunday worship attendance, other events, or office hours at Crossroads. State health officials strongly encourage masking when we cannot maintain at least 6ft of space between families and individuals to contain the spread of COVID-19 further. Our goal, however, is to accommodate as many of our church family as we can back on the weekends. We will continue with one service at 9:30 am at this time.
While we no longer require masks at church, we will have a masked-only section for those attendees who would like to sit in one. Otherwise, we want you to sit where you feel most comfortable, whether you are wearing a mask or not. We understand that if you feel more comfortable watching from home, we will still provide a live stream of the service on Sundays and Tuesdays. The link can be found here.
Our updated kid’s/youth ministry protocols will be as follows. Check-In and Check-Out procedures will stay the same with handwashing/sanitizer and temperature taking for kids ministry and Next. Kids attending Sunday mornings can wear a mask if desired by their parents but do not have to. Because of numbers and spacing in the kid’s wing, our kid’s volunteers will still be wearing masks while serving for the next couple of weeks. Youth ministry will meet and observe the 6ft rule as much as possible, but masks will not be required for students. This is still a very fluid season, and we ask you to remain vigilant and continue to do your part as we are beginning to see a return to normalcy at Crossroads. If you have any questions or concerns, email us at email@example.com.
See you on Sunday!
